Luckenbach meets the Piney Woods

Putting a Texas Twist on Upland Hunting

Waylon…you’re right. Maybe it IS time we got back to the basics…of upland hunting. A few years ago, Beau and I were discussing how unfortunate the accessibility of hunting was in Texas. Long gone are the days when you could find public land to hunt wild quail & pheasant. Not a lot of Texans have had the chance to upland hunt – either due to land access or affordability. Don’t get me wrong…there are some lovely state of the art hunting lodges scattered throughout Texas, but with that comes a price. We wanted something different for Texans.

Texas Upland Hunter
"Upland hunting that came with ditching the “boujee” image and being able to experience a day of quality hunting without worrying about the price, or if you’re wearing the right hunting attire. "

We had a vision of creating a new upland experience. A new era. Upland hunting that came with ditching the “boujee” image and being able to experience a day of quality hunting without worrying about the price, or if you’re wearing the right hunting attire. Respect the past, but disrupt the present with a Texan twist. An era of families putting away their devices and enjoying an affordable Saturday bird hunt to escape the commitments of everyday life, or huntin’ buddies hanging up their business polos for a day of faded blue jeans, boots, and beer. Events with live country music, Texas BBQ, fun, and fellowship.

It has been exciting to see this vision come to life at the Feathered Forest Hunt Club, and we would love to see YOU out for a hunt this season. At the Feathered Forest in Bedias, TX, “there ain’t nobody feelin’ no pain.”
